Entrepreneurship
THIS ONE-SEMESTER CLASS IS OFFERED FALL SEMESTER ONLY.
This course is designed as an HONORS course.
Have you ever thought that you’d like to run your own business? Do you come up with ideas of things that you could make – or ways that you could make money by yourself? Do you like serving other people or coming up with ways to make every-day projects take less time to complete?
If so, how would you like to make money doing one (or more) of these things?
In the Entrepreneurship class you’ll learn what it takes to create a business of your own. You’ll learn about the basic skills of running your own business, and how you can legally get it started here in Minnesota. And by the end of the class you’ll be ready to get your own business started.
This class is designed to help you determine IF starting your own business is right for you. You don’t HAVE to start a business to complete this class, but this class will prepare you to do that. We will work with you to actually get your business started in the follow-up course “Start Your Own Business” class in the spring – IF you decide to go ahead with your business. But even if you decide to not start your own business you’ll be learning important skills that will be applicable to any role you might have in most small businesses.
