Almost all programming today involves some sort of online integration. Anyone interested in programming should know how to program for the Internet. In additiion, there are more and more new opportunities to begin programming at an earlier age, without a lot of formal training, however, having some formal training can prevent a LOT of problems down the road.

In this course, we will begin by learning proper basic skills and habits when programming for online purposes. This will include both programming skills as well as safety and security skills.

When done with this course, the student will have a basic understanding and ability to program online web systems by extending existing Content Management System functionalities and creating new ones.
Students will specifically be learning coding skills in: PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Some students who successfully complete this course may be offered paid internships with existing web development companies within the Twin Cities.
